CTPA Case Study

At First Sight Media, we don’t just create videos — we craft content that tells the story of who our clients are, what they stand for, and the impact they make. For the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA), we were tasked with celebrating a remarkable milestone: 80 years of championing the UK’s cosmetics and personal care industry.

The Challenge

CTPA wanted to mark their eight-decade anniversary in a way that went beyond a standard corporate message. They wanted content that:

  • Told their history and legacy in an engaging way
  • Showcased the voices of their members, partners, and stakeholders
  • Highlighted their ongoing influence and contribution to the industry
  • Could be repurposed across multiple channels

The challenge was to create content that was authentic, engaging, and versatile — reflecting both the scale of the milestone and the personal stories behind the organisation.

Our Approach

From concept to final cut, we managed the full content creation process:

  1. Story Development – We worked closely with CTPA to define the narrative arc, identifying the key themes and stories that would resonate with their audience.
  2. Filming Across London – Coordinating multiple locations and schedules, we captured interviews and testimonials from members, stakeholders, and board members, ensuring their voices were central to the story.
  3. Dynamic Content Production – The centrepiece film, *“A Story That We Share”*, combined live-action interviews, archival footage, animation, and professional narration to tell a compelling and visually engaging story.
  4. Content Repurposing – To extend the life of the content, we created a collection of shorter clips called *“What Our Members Say”*, highlighting different themes and showcasing CTPA’s work through the authentic voices of its members.
  5. Post-Production Excellence – Editing, animation, and voiceover work were handled end-to-end to deliver a polished final product that met the tight anniversary deadline.

The Result

The final film debuted at CTPA’s 80th Anniversary Dinner and has since been shared across multiple channels. Key outcomes included:

  • A cinematic, engaging story that brought CTPA’s legacy and values to life
  • Authentic voices from across the organisation that captured the human side of the brand
  • Repurposed content that allowed CTPA to extend their message across digital platforms
